About Emily B. Art

Hey! My name is Emily Brown, though a lot of people who don't personally know me may assume my name is Emily Bart, and that's close enough for me! I am the woman behind Emily B. Art (the artist, if you will) and I am currently living in Seattle as a full-time Freelance Artist.

As you can see, I do a variety of different gigs and artistic endeavors to make things work! I most often paint, draw, model, and take photos; however you may also find me collaborating with other artists, studying up on art techniques and successful freelance business practices,  sewing (when my machine cooperates) and designing textiles. I like movement, variety, and a visual sign of progress, which is why I decided to make the leap into being a full-time Freelance Artist. My ability to stay calm under pressure, adapt and recover quickly, and to think about the big picture, helps to keep me from falling flat (at least, not as often as I thought I would).

I am simply trying to accept the ebbs and flows that the ocean of life brings to my shores, and make some incredible art in the meantime, however I possibly can. Living in Seattle, it can be hard to stand out from the group of incredibly talented artists and creative people that reside here. I like to think what makes me different is my desire to reduce waste, promote and encourage a sustainable lifestyle and art practice through my own actions and choices, and to embrace and support my community with the same fervor and compassion as I have for nature and art!

Be sure to stay up to date with what I'm doing through Instagram, Facebook, Patreon, my website (you are here!) etc.
